100,000 Poets for Change Global Event
In July, I read at a 100,000 Poets for Change "Her Voice" event at the Women's Center for Healing and Transformation in Abita Springs, Louisiana. Tonight was the 100,000 Poets for Change Global Event, and I read in Covington, Louisiana, where I live. There were several poems read about climate change and the environment. I read poems about the institutionalized atrocities performed on non-humans, an ageism sonnet about AOC, and a poem about the tendency of some white women to protect and support their oppressors (and yes, the poem is called "Stockholm Syndrome").
