A conversation with Paul Nelson about the PoPo Festival

Paul E. Nelson, founder of the Postcard Poetry (PoPo) Festival, recently interviewed me as part of the wrap-up of the 14th annual festival. We talked about everything from the power of hand-writing poems to the importance of having a non-judgmental attitude about one's self when participating in the festival. We also discussed the inspiration behind spontaneously-written poetry, the potential for publication of PoPo poems, and even the process of deciding which postcards to use for the project. (And I got to read my Pushcart-nominated PoPo poem.)

I encourage all poets--and aspiring poets--to enter the 2021 event.
