Some news:
I have had two poems selected for Querencia Press's upcoming quarterly anthology.
I will be teaching a writing as a healing tool workshop this summer at a festival on healing and the arts at the Women's Center for Healing & Transformation in Abita Springs, Louisiana.
Hello, Diane. I noted your poem about the storage unit in today’s Poetry Breakfast. You caught a big story with great restraint. Which of your books should I begin with? You may know, or know of, my lifelong friend, poet Gail White in Breaux Bridge. I suppose most Louisiana poets know Julie Kane, one way or another. Best wishes to you, with thanks for a good poem experience today.
ReplyDeleteSorry, Barbara--I only just saw this. Thank you so much for your kind comment. Gail and I used to be on a poetry forum together and I have one of her books. I am, of course, familiar with Julie's work. If you're interested in Louisiana-based themes, you may want to check out The Wild Parrots of Mandeville, which covers everything from Katrina to the oil spill to politics to Louisiana landscapes. I appreciate your support.
